Penny Tai is a Malaysian Chinese singer and songwriter in the Mandarin pop scene. Since her debut in 2000, she has released eight albums. Penny Tai was born in Johor, Malaysia, to a Hakka family. She started song-writing at the age of 17, participating in the Halo Song-writing Contest in Kuala Lumpur, a platform which also launched the career of fellow Malaysian singer, Fish Leong. In 1999, she was offered a contract by EMI Music (Taiwan) and moved to Taiwan pursue a career in singing and song-writing. She released her self-titled first album, Penny, in January 2000. She is marketed by her company as a talented singer-songwriter who is responsible for both the compositions and performance of her songs. Every single song Penny has recorded so far is written and composed by herself. In 2006 she won Best Composer at the Golden Melody Awards for the song “Crazy Love” (title track to her 2005 album). Her most popular song to date internationally was the end theme for the Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden” and “Meteor Garden 2″ entitled Ni Yao De Ai (The Love You Want). Her latest album Forgive Me For Being The Girl I Am (原谅我就是这样的女生) (May 16, 2009).

Siti Norhaliza is a multiple-award winning Malaysian pop singer-songwriter. To date, she has garnered more than 200 local awards as well as international awards. Carmen Soo Wai Mun is a Malaysian Chinese fashion model and actress. At the age of 17, Soo ventured into modeling and left Malaysia at the age of 20 for Hong Kong, to pursue her modeling career. At 160cm tall, her petite size is not conducive to catwalk modelling, hence most of her shoots tend to be print and television commercials. However, she has had quite a lot of success within that area, gracing many local magazine covers such as NewMan, V Mag, NewTide and NuYou. She also has been recruited as the spokesperson for international watch brand Longines, along with Malaysian theatre personality Paula Malai Ali. Soo landed herself a minor acting role in a Jackie Chan movie entitled ‘Gorgeous’ alongside with Shu Qi and later on played the leading actress in Aaron Kwok’s musical special.
