Lara Dutta is an Indian actress, UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and Miss Universe 2000. Dutta won the annual Gladsrags modeling competition in her native India, thus winning the right to be the first Indian representative at the 1997 Miss Intercontinental, in which she took first place. Later, she was crowned Femina Miss India Universe and Miss Universe in 2000. Lara Dutta primarily signed up to do the Tamil film, Arasatchi in 2002, but due to financial problems, it only released in mid-2004. She made her Hindi debut in 2003 with the film Andaaz which was a box office success and won her a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. She then appeared in a number of films, some of which failed at the box office and some of which were mildly successful. Her box office “hits” include Masti (2004), Kaal (2005), No Entry (2005) and Partner (2007). In 2006, she starred in the comedy, Bhagam Bhag which did well at the box office. In 2007 Sania Mirza and Dutta both participated in Kaun Banega Crorepati on 13 November 2007. Dutta’s first release of 2007 was Shaad Ali’s Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The film was a box office failure in India but did better overseas, especially in the U.K. She received mixed reviews for her performance in the film. Her later release, Partner opened to a good response and became a hit. Lara is actually shooting for the forthcoming House Fulll which stars Akshay kumar and Deepika Padukone.She has stated that her role was the most important and strong in the movie but in another interview ,a source told that Deepika was the romantic lead and lara had the comic sequences and scenes. Her recent release movie Blue is one of the highest costing movie of Indian cinema and Lara had walked out of the project because she did not know swimming and the movie was entirely shot in the Ocean. She firstly refused to sign the movie but the male protagonist Akshay Kumar encouraged her in learning how to swim and she immediately started training with special coach. Blue has been release on 16 October 2009. The latest movie Do Knot Disturb has recently hit the screens and the verdict for the performance of the movie still awaits.The movie stars Govinda ,alongside with beauty queen Sushmita Sen and Riteish Deshmukh.

Bipasha Basu is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood films and a former model. She was the winner of the Ford’s Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest for 1996 and is currently one of the mainstream actresses in Bollywood. According to her, she had come into modeling and acting quite by accident, because initially she had planned to study medicine. In Kolkata, she did modelling and rampshows partime. Although, as pointed above, she intended to become a doctor, her aversion for dissections made her opt for chartered accountancy. However, in 1996, she met well-known model Mehr Jessia in Kolkata; the latter suggested that Basu take part in the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest. She eventually participated, and won the contest. After winning the Ford Godrej Cinthol contest, Basu was flown to New York by the Ford Company, where she had a successful modelling career at the age of 17. Basu made her film debut in Abbas Mustan’s Ajnabee, with Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Kareena Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood movies. Before starting her career off as an actress, Kapoor worked as an assistant under Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and assisted him during the making of his film, Black (2005). She made her acting debut alongside newcomer Ranbir Kapoor in Bhansali’s Saawariya (2007), which failed to do well at the box office. Her performance was opened to good reviews by most critics. She is a multitalented actress. In 2009, Kapoor appeared in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi-6 opposite Abhishek Bachchan.
